Supreme Judicial Council: Rule of Law Is a Fundamental Pillar for State-Building and Institutional Consolidation
mesoiraq - The Supreme Judicial Council affirmed on Sunday (September 13, 2026) that the rule of law represents the fundamental pillar for building the state, consolidating its institutions, and guaranteeing rights and freedoms.
In a statement issued on the occasion of the International Day of Law, the Council stated that the rule of law is the foundation for achieving justice and equality among all members of society.
The Council added that the Iraqi judiciary renews its commitment to fulfilling its constitutional mission in upholding the law, safeguarding rights and freedoms, and entrenching the principles of justice, thereby enhancing citizens' trust in state institutions and enshrining the principle that all are subject to the law without discrimination.
