Warnings Over Ongoing Environmental Deterioration and Absence of Tangible Government Measures
mesoiraq - The Green Iraq Observatory warned of the continuation of pollution phenomena and the absence of field government measures despite more than a month passing since the declaration of a state of environmental emergency in the country.
The observatory emphasized that addressing environmental degradation requires long-term strategic projects and massive financial allocations to address industrial and oil emissions and random waste.
It stressed the need to identify priority pollution hotspots and establish clear timeframes for implementing reform plans in coordination with relevant authorities.
