Counter-Terrorism Service Apprehends Drug Dealers and Conducts Wide Preemptive Search Operations
The Counter-Terrorism Service (CTS) announced the execution of a series of qualitative security operations resulting in the arrest of two drug dealers, alongside large-scale search operations in several areas. The CTS confirmed that a joint operation in Muthanna Governorate, conducted in collaboration with the Directorate of Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances and the Police Command, led to the arrest of a drug dealer who was handed over to the relevant authorities. A separate operation in Dhi Qar Governorate resulted in the apprehension of another dealer. In a related context, the CTS conducted extensive reconnaissance and search operations covering the districts of Al-Fajr, Al-Fuhoud, Suq Al-Shuyukh, and Al-Batha to secure the administrative borders with Wasit, Diwaniyah, Maysan, Basra, and Muthanna governorates, acting on precise intelligence and official judicial warrants.
