Pakistani Mediation Paves the Way for Resuming Technical Talks Between Washington and Tehran Next Week
The Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which is leading international mediation efforts, announced preparations to resume technical talks between the United States and Iran next week, building upon a memorandum of understanding aimed at ending tensions. This step follows intensive rounds in Switzerland involving both political and technical delegations. Concurrently, the US administration confirmed Tehran's agreement to extensive and sustained nuclear inspections, as well as guaranteeing that the Strait of Hormuz remains open for navigation. This was supported by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), which announced its inspectors' readiness to visit Iranian enrichment sites as part of the preliminary agreement terms.
