Integrity Commission Arrests Dhi Qar Governorate Accounts Director and Another Employee Red-Handed

mesoiraq - The Federal Integrity Commission announced the arrest of the accounts department director and another employee in the Dhi Qar Governorate diwan red-handed while receiving a financial bribe in exchange for completing official transactions.

The commission stated in a statement that a specialized investigative team moved to the governorate building and managed to arrest the suspects red-handed while receiving the bribe money from a contractor in exchange for passing his financial dues for a service project he is implementing in Al-Nasr district.

Investigations indicated that the employees deliberately hindered the completion of the transaction despite meeting legal requirements, and the competent investigative judge decided to detain them in accordance with the relevant legal article.
