Iranian Currency Continues to Deteriorate.. $100 Records 23 Million Tomans in Markets
mesoiraq - The exchange rates of the Iranian currency recorded a new record low today, Saturday (September 12, 2026), against the US dollar in local and parallel markets.
According to exchange and commercial trading indicators, the Iranian toman witnessed a sharp decline, exceeding the barrier of 23 million tomans against every 100 US dollars, amid continuing economic pressures and fluctuating parallel market activity.
It is worth noting that the Iranian toman continues to record a steady decline and successive waves of depreciation in its purchasing value against foreign currencies, amid ongoing US blockade and sanctions that have disrupted foreign trade and exacerbated inflation rates in the country.
