Kurdistan Presidency Condemns Attacks on Saudi Oil Pipelines and Affirms Support for Baghdad

mesoiraq - The Presidency of the Kurdistan Region strongly condemned today, Saturday (September 12, 2026), the attacks that targeted oil pipelines in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, renewing the region's solidarity and absolute support for Riyadh's security and stability.

In an official statement, the Presidency of the Region affirmed the Kurdistan Region's keenness on the safety and stability of the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and announced its full support for the investigations and measures taken by the federal government in Baghdad to pursue the perpetrators and involved parties and hold them accountable under the law.

The Presidency of the Region warned against the danger of turning the country into an arena for settling scores or regional targeting, stressing that Iraqi territory must not be a source of any threat or aggression against the security of neighboring countries.

The statement emphasized that commitment to good neighborliness principles, respect for state sovereignty, and reliance on dialogue and constructive cooperation are the ways capable of preserving Iraq's security and supporting the pillars of peace and stability in the region.
